BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES – GUIDE GROUP
Guide Captain: Mrs. Smitha K. Thomas

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) Guide Group of our school plays a vital role in nurturing young girls into confident, disciplined, responsible, and service-minded citizens. Guided by the motto “Be Prepared,” the 17th KTM Guide Company strives to develop leadership, teamwork, self-reliance, patriotism, compassion, and social responsibility through a wide range of educational, social, environmental, and community service activities.

The unit actively participates in anti-drug campaigns, plastic eradication drives, cleanliness programmes, tree planting, vegetable gardening, and other environmental initiatives. It also promotes vocational and entrepreneurial skills through training in ornament making, eco-friendly bag making, soap preparation, handicrafts, and other creative activities.

The Guides regularly participate in programmes focusing on women's empowerment, gender equality, health and hygiene, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, mental well-being, and personal development. Community service is another major area of activity, with students taking part in palliative care, charitable and relief activities, visits to care centres, road and traffic safety awareness, first aid, disaster preparedness, emergency response, and life-skill programmes.

Through camps, rallies, awareness campaigns, and community outreach programmes, the Guide Company equips students with practical skills and strong values, inspiring them to become compassionate leaders, responsible citizens, and dedicated volunteers committed to the welfare of society and the nation.
